  "Genie Outlook Backup" caused me to lose over 3 years of invaluable business and personal emails. I used the program to backup MS Outlook email and then attempted to restore after a format. The program effectively restored my "sent" and "deleted" folders, but completely failed to restore the "inbox" in which all the important data was contained. Overall I would give this program a score of horrible. Using Genie Outlook backup was a complete nightmare. I definitely would not recommend this program to anyone who values their outlook data. I have used "ABF Outlook Backup" in the past with great results... trying "Genie Outlook Backup" was a mistake to say the least.

  This seems to work fine if you simply want to restore old Outlook data on the same computer with the same installation of Windows, under the same user (Win2k/XP) - BUT, if you are backing thing up incase you have to re-format, or with to move the data over to another user account, it's not that good; the problems I found with that is, folders and messages copy over just fine - but any rules you had set, you may see, but they are NOT active, AND with the mail accounts themselves, if you had a saved password - I sure hope you remember what it was, because that saved password is no longer there! In short a good backup program will put everything back EXACTLY the way it was when it was backed up, regardless of the place/account you are coping it back to.....

  Easy to use first time out. Great combination of simplicity for ease of use, yet has enough features to be powerful and useful. Great service from the registration department also.

  I highly recommend this product, so many features, easy to use, now I can relax cuz I know my Outlook data is save, I have about 10,000(s) of emails, and always was afraid of virus or anything happen to my emails, I schedule it to backup and FTP every day at 11 pm, so no matter what happens I will not lose my email, also there is cool feature I like, email notification, after the backup Genie will email me with the backup result ,good work, but I am switching the Genie Backup Manager soon, same features plus much more, specially the ability to backup and burn DVD+RW
